Radiation Oncologists

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking Radiation Oncologists from the Belgium to join multidisciplinary cancer services across New Zealand. Deliver expert radiotherapy care in hospitals that combine modern technology with a patient-centred approach, while experiencing a uniquely collaborative health system.

About the opportunity 

Radiation Oncologists with Health New Zealand plan and deliver radiotherapy treatments for cancers, participate in tumour boards, outpatient clinics, and inpatient care, and collaborate on service planning and research initiatives.

Salary, benefits and leave 

 

Salary:

 

·       The average salary package for Oncologists in New Zealand is GBP ~£150,521 (NZ $343,500)

·       Packages are comprised of a base salary based on experience, plus allowances, and superannuation per the ASMS collective agreement

·       an annual continuing medical education (CME) allowance of GBP ~£7,011 NZ $16,000 paid 3-month sabbaticals every 6 years

You will: 

·       get 6 weeks of annual leave

What you need to work here 

You will need registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) and an Annual Practising Certificate (APC). 

International Radiation Oncologists will typically hold a qualification comparable to Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR). 

If you hold a recognised UK or Irish primary medical qualification, you are likely eligible for MCNZ registration via the Competent Authority pathway.
