Job overview
Childrens services within the West Integrated Health Community are looking to recruit a forward thinking, Service Manager to CAMHS. If you are committed to giving high standards of patient care, have a strong focus on patient quality & safety, can work flexibly to lead the teams and have management experience we really want to hear from you.
A valid and relevant professional registration is required, as well as significant management and CAMHS clinical experience at Band 7 or equivalent. The role requires you to be an excellent communicator, leader and passionate about Mental Health.

Main duties of the job
- Initiate and implement changes and improvements in services and systems within area of management by the use of highly complex information, which requires analytical skills, interpretation and option appraisal for the safe management of services.
- To be a Budget holder, ensuring that resources are used efficiently, effectively and in a manner consistent with the Operational Plan, the Health Board’s overall objectives and National Guidelines. Raise awareness amongst staff of the importance of the efficient utilisation of these resources.
- Provide effective managerial leadership and motivation of staff, taking positive, pro-active and flexible approaches to decision-making and management including long-term work force planning.
- Promote a culture which encourages initiative, high standards of performance and quality of care, and supports Clinical Governance.

- NMC Registered nurse or other appropriate clinical profession with qualifications appropriate to the service area managed.
- Demonstrates continued professional and management development. Plus relevant MSc/knowledge equivalent to Masters level in management.
