Job overview
To provide a comprehensive reception, administration and clerical service for the Pulmonary Function and Sleep Ventilation Service working as part of a multidisciplinary team in the co-ordination, provision and delivery of an effective high quality service to BCUHB and external contracts.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
Provide a friendly and comprehensive reception service to all staff visiting the department.
Arrange and send out a variety of appointments ensuring the departmental diaries are kept updated e.g. the booking of out-patient clinics and in-patient studies.
Ensure that the case notes for all patients attending the clinics are prepared and made available along with a clinic list to meet set standards.
Type clinic letters to a set standard and prepare letters for internal and external posting checking patient details
File documentation relating to patient care in the relevant case notes to ensure information is accurate and up to date for future reference.
Assist with general photocopying wherever necessary to meet departmental standards.
