Job overview

We are looking for a dynamic, organised and flexible individual to join our administration team within the Cancer Division.

The successful candidate will possess excellent organisational skills and have the ability to engage with colleagues at all levels to provide an efficient, comprehensive secretarial and administrative service to the Cancer Divisional Management Team.

The post holder will be responsible for the minute taking, action log of various meetings and other annotation and medical records handling, filing and other administrative tasks as necessary.  Audio typing would be advantageous.

 The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

 

Main duties of the job

You will have good attention to detail, communication and interpersonal skills. You must have the ability to work as part of a team as well as independently; using your initiative to contribute to the smooth running of this busy area. The post holder must have the ability to manage their workload efficiently and effectively.

The post holder will be required to maintain strict confidentiality and will be expected to deal with patients, carers, relatives, medical staff and other visitors to the Health Board, in person and in writing, with courtesy and discretion.

 RSA Stage II or equivalent skills are required together with experience of MS Office and knowledge of the hospital administration systems would be desirable. Previous secretarial and administration experience would be advantageous.  The ability to speak welsh would be desirable.
