If you are a Band 5 looking for the next step or a Band 6 looking for a new challenge, this may be the opportunity for you.

You will join a friendly team of dietitians with good dietetic assistant and admin support. This post will cover a caseload of community patients, including general clinics, home enteral feeding patients and community hospital ward work. The patient group can have complicated  chronic nutritional presentations which require specialist dietetic treatment.

MDT working is a key part of the role and developing these relationships will be vital. 

Main duties of the job

To work as an integral part of the clinical community dietetics team

You will be responsible for a caseload which includes outpatient clinics, care homes, and home visits caring for patients who are both orally and enterally fed. In addition your job plan will include clinics and some group education. You will have access to support from a dietetic assistant, who will be able to help with booking appointments, reviews and resource management. The health board is a Nutricia contract, and you will be responsible for managing your home enterally fed patients who receive their feed and equipment via Nutricia Homeward.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Quality Improvement work is essential to ensure continued service improvements are identified and encouraged within the team.

The role will also require supervision for junior staff, dietetic assistants and student training will be an integral part of the job.
