Please be advised that there is a temporary top up for Bands 1,2 and 3 to reflect the incorporation of the top up to the  living wage of £12 per hour - £23,465 per annum. This temporary top up will be in place until  the annual pay uplift for 2024/25 is confirmed

 

Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a permanent assistant manager for the Patient Booking Centre here at Glan Clwyd Hospital

The successful candidate will have experience in managing staff, recruitment processes, training and leadership.  Experience and understanding of booking processes and scheduled care will be an advantage. The successful candidate will have experience in using the clinical systems and have excellent reporting skills that they can present to the Directorate Access meetings.

The post holder will provide effective leadership of the central booking team to deliver a highly efficient support service to the Health Board. They will work in collaborative manner with clinicians, managers and colleagues providing an effective and efficient administrative support function.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential criteria
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent level of work experience and knowledge
  • GSCE English & Maths
  • NVQ L4 or diploma level or equivalent in administrative related area
  • Evidence of continual professional development
Desirable criteria
  • ECDL or equivalent

EXPERIENCE

Essential criteria
  • Experience of assisting with the management of a service/managing staff
  • Waiting list experience or equivalent experience
  • Experience of using spreadsheets / databases
  • Experience and understanding of current priorities for the health board
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working with Healthcare Information systems & Extensive experience of WPAS
