This role is central to the smooth running of a dynamic, patient-focused model of care which delivers hospital-level support in the comfort of people’s homes. By working closely with system partners and using appropriate remote monitoring tools, the service aims to:

  • Build trust in the safe delivery of care at home

  • Encourage shared decision-making between patients and professionals

  • Foster a confident, collaborative approach to care

  • Strengthen system-wide management of clinical risk in community settings

Main duties of the job

As a Senior Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the service. You’ll be an essential link between patients, professionals, and system partners – keeping things running smoothly, accurately, and professionally.

Your responsibilities will include:

Communication
Providing a courteous and responsive service to patients, carers, clinicians and partner organisations

Handling sensitive, sometimes emotional conversations with professionalism and support

Creating tailored correspondence and written materials

Supporting others in managing complaints, concerns and enquiries

Offering non-clinical advice and appropriate signposting

Planning & Coordination
Managing your own and others’ workloads to meet service demands

Coordinating team rotas, meetings, clinics and events

Supporting recruitment processes including interviews and onboarding

Deputising for managers when required and overseeing small projects

Data & Resources
Handling data accurately, supporting reports, audits and service evaluations

Managing petty cash and ordering essential equipment or supplies

Ensuring compliance with documentation, data protection and confidentiality standards

Contributing to business continuity and CQC assurance processes

Leadership & Supervision
Line managing and mentoring colleagues and new starters

Supporting wellbeing and development through one-to-one meetings

Providing training and contributing to performance management
