Job overview

Would you like to play a key role in a friendly and dedicated administration team, helping to ensure patients receive an efficient and high-quality service?

The Bristol MSK/POD Service provides care and support to patients with musculoskeletal conditions, and we are looking for an experienced and motivated administrator to join our team.

As a senior member of the Sirona MSK administration team, you will oversee the day-to-day work of administrative colleagues across defined localities. You will play an important role in ensuring administrative processes run smoothly and efficiently, including appointment booking, workforce allocation, caseload management, patient communication and post-clinic actions.

You will support the development and maintenance of diaries, templates and documentation within our electronic patient record system, EMIS. You will also be responsible for monitoring data quality, supporting audits and reviewing performance information to help identify opportunities for improvement.

The role will involve managing and responding appropriately to concerns, complaints and adverse events, escalating issues to your line manager where necessary.

Main duties of the job

As a senior member of the team, you will have line management responsibilities and will support the development of both new and existing colleagues through training, mentoring and day-to-day guidance. You will use your communication and negotiation skills to engage colleagues, build effective working relationships and achieve positive outcomes.

You will also support the Band 5 Administration Lead(s) with workforce planning and maintaining appropriate staffing levels, including involvement in recruitment. There may also be opportunities to deputise for a Band 5 Administration Lead during periods of absence.

The duties described are not exhaustive and may change over time in line with the needs of the service. Sirona's values are at the heart of everything we do and will be integral to the way you carry out your role.
