Are you looking for your next challenge within Children's Physiotherapy? If you looking to expand or consolidate your Physiotherapy skills with Children with complex needs then this is the job for you! We have an opportunity for a Band 7 within BNSSG, predominantly based in the East Central Bristol Team working in the community with the team based at Eastgate House.
You will work closely within a Multidisciplinary team including Physio, OT, Speech and Language Therapists and Paediatricians managing all aspects of a child's Physiotherapy care with opportunities to develop your skills in postural management, specialist equipment and early intervention.
This is a part time role for 22.5 hours a week. Your working days must include a Wednesday due to service requirements.
Main duties of the job
Your responsibilities will include;
- Holding a community caseload and completing new assessments of children with a variety of conditions.
- Involvement with Early years complex needs assessments along side Paediatricians', OT , SLT
- Working within an MDT both within schools and in the community.
- Providing support and supervision to the other members of the Physiotherapy team including Band 5 and 6 Physiotherapists, Band 4 Technicians and Physiotherapy Students.
- To be actively involved in the development of the service alongside the Professional Lead.

Knowledge
Essential criteria
- HCPC Registration
- Bsc or equivalent in Physiotherapy
- Evidence of advanced postgraduate training relevant to clinical area
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of on-going CPD/Reflective Practice.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Essential criteria
- Previous experience working as a children's Physiotherapist
- Highly advanced clinical skills in area of Clinical Specialty
- Ability to implement treatment of children and young people with highly complex developmental, neurological and/or sensory conditions.
- Experience of leading a team in a clinical setting
Desirable criteria
- Experience of early years complex needs assessment
- Experience working within a Special and or mainstream School
- Experience working with children with Complex Needs
- Experience of assessing for a variety of postural management equipment

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
