Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced dynamic and senior leader to join us to lead the Adult Services Division within Sirona care and health. With strategic responsibility for a range of community planned and unplanned service. The division has an annual budget of around £74 million and over 1400 staff based across the Bristol North Somerset and South Gloucestershire area.

 

We are looking for a senior operational manager with experience within the NHS in community services. The ideal candidate would be someone with the demonstrable ability to think creatively about the future delivery of services in partnership with stakeholders, services users, carers and their families. You will have the ability to influence and inspire internal and external stakeholders at all levels. You will work within the wider health care system.

Lead service managers in the planning, provision, improvement and development of a range of services within the Adult Services Portfolio.

 

Lead and coordinate a number of projects that will contribute to the achievement of the division’s objectives and wider organisational objectives.

 

Ensure the safe and cost effective provision of quality adult health services that conform to CQC, safeguarding, clinical governance and other regulatory or statutory requirements across the service portfolio.

 

Devise robust plans which look to sustain achievement of the performance and financial standards for services within the portfolio.

 

Leading projects and programmes to delivery key objectives and national priorities related to the programmes of work within the portfolio.

 

Build positive collaborative relationships within the organisation and in the broader health and care system.

Essential criteria
  • Ability to manage complex operational situations that involve staff from all levels with a range of professional boundaries internally & externally
  • Recent demonstratable track record of achievement in a senior leadership position within operations in a community healthcare setting
  • Significant experience & demonstrable evidence at a senior level in delivering successful operational service delivery & standards for a adult community health services, meeting & regular review of CQC standards & workforce issues
  • Significant experience within the Healthcare sector at VSM or equivalent level including responsibility for strategic planning and budgetary control for group of complex operational/clinical specialties'.
  • Experience of managing complex clinical and operational situations that involve staff from all levels within an organisation and across a range of professional and organisational boundaries as well as between organisations.

Qualifications & Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Recognise & understand the important of diversity and inclusion in delivering our role in the health & care system with demonstrable evidence.
  • Detailed knowledge of current professional issues, both in education and practice. Proven track record of achieving challenging healthcare targets.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of key areas of Health Policy and their impact on provision of care. Experience of working at system level, or with partner organisations.
  • Detailed knowledge of current professional issues in the community for adults services.
Desirable criteria
  • Master qualification, working towards, and/or equivalent experience requirements for senior management, e.g. Financial & Business, Operational Delivery, Risk/Safety/Governance, People Management.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to post.
