You'll become part of a team of 11 Art, Drama and Music Therapists supporting adults, children and young people with learning disabilities across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.

This is a rewarding opportunity to use your creativity and clinical expertise to support people with complex communication, mental health and behavioural needs. As a valued member of our service, you'll also provide specialist advice and consultation, contribute to service development and quality improvement projects, and offer clinical supervision within the Arts Therapies Team.

ALDHS is recognised for delivering outstanding specialist learning disability healthcare. Working alongside a wide range of professionals, you'll help shape innovative, person-centred services while supporting individuals to access the care and opportunities they need to thrive.

If you're passionate about the transformative power of music, enjoy working collaboratively, and want to make a lasting difference in people's lives, we'd love to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

As a Music Therapist, you will deliver specialist individual and group interventions for adults and children with learning disabilities, undertaking assessments, formulations and therapeutic support.

The role includes contributing to wider Mental Health and Behaviour Team responsibilities, including allocations, advice and guidance, dementia, access and transitions assessments, while developing specialist knowledge in loss and bereavement.

Please note this is a community post and you will need to have a  UK driving licence and access to a car.
