Job overview

 

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated person who will provide secretarial support within the Neurodevelopment Service within Children & Young People’s Division based at Eirias Park, Colwyn Bay.

The successful candidate will have a good standard of education, excellent communication skills, be able to work on their own initiative and be efficient and organised with their own workload. The candidate should also have excellent keyboard skills and experience of Microsoft Office Package. The post holder will be expected to undertake a variety of duties within the role including covering for Pathway-Coordinator as and when required.

A good telephone manner essential. The ability to speak Welsh would be beneficial but is not essential. The post holder will be required to demonstrate a professional and sensitive manner and maintain confidentiality at all times.

This post is fixed term until 31.03.2025 to meet the needs of the service.

Main duties of the job

 

To support the co-ordination of the administration arrangements to provide a high quality supportive secretarial service to the consultant, medical and nursing team. To work independently and be accountable for organising/prioritising own workload to ensure deadlines are achieved. To support the facilitation of the patients along a defined pathway.

 

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

  • NVQ Business Administration L3 or equivalent experience
  • RSA/OCR level 2 or equivalent experience
