Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of Registered Nurse within our PICU ward at West Park Hospital.

Cedar ward offers a fantastic opportunity for the right person to join a team who support mixed gender patients within a 10 bedded PICU ward environment.  The ward will be transitioning towards being an all female PICU within the coming months with a planned reduction in available beds.

Whether you're an experienced Registered Nurse or a Newly Registered Nurse, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a service that puts patient care first. You will have the time and support to make a real difference every day.

Student Nurse's that are due to register in the next 3 months are very welcome to apply.   Full training and Preceptorship programme will be provided to help you build confidence and develop your career in this specialist area.

This role may be eligible for sponsorship under the UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI) Skilled Worker route. However, sponsorship can only be provided where applicants meet the specific requirements, therefore, we recommend that you assess your eligibility before applying for this position. Main duties of the job

You will work as part of a broad multi-disciplinary team delivering high quality, patient focused care in a hospital setting, developing and implementing the integrated team approach within a supportive and enthusiastic team.

We want to support and ensure that you have a positive working experience within our services and are committed to identify and support your short and long term developmental needs through structured appraisal and access to training opportunities.

Joining our PICU inpatient service means you enjoy a fast paced work environment within a team who are focused on patient experience and recovery through high standards of care and evidence based practice.  As a nurse on the ward, you will work closely with service users and their relatives/ carers as part of a multi-disciplinary team – you will lead the way as a role model within the team, demonstrating compassionate leadership through the Trust Values and Behaviours.
