The salary scale for a Band 3 has been adjusted as part of the NHS Agenda for Change pay award for 2026/2027 and will be implemented in August 2026 backdated to 01 April 2026 where applicable.

 

Job overview

THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT FOR 18 MONTHS. 

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Healthcare Support Worker to join Branwen Ward, an 18 bedded Stroke Rehabilitation ward based in Deeside Community Hospital.

Deeside Community Hospital is a great place to work and feel part of a close community hospital team. The team enjoy a close working relationship and support from the hospital league of friends A range of outpatient’s services also take place within the hospital site.

Our aim is to provide quality, planned care for the patients. The successful candidate will work as part of a team of nurses responsible for providing, maintaining and coordinating a high standard of planned holistic care and nursing treatments, under the indirect supervision of the nurse in charge of the ward.

Main duties of the job

To assist registered nurses/practitioners to deliver based care to patients/clients, working in partnership with other health care professionals, the patient their family and carers.

Deliver patient care as documented in the nursing care plan. Carry out a wide range of duties under the supervision of a registered nurse for the period of the shift.

Supporting clients/service users in maintaining their health and wellbeing.

Undertaking specified and delegated clinical and therapeutic activities.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
