Job overview
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join our friendly and supportive team. The post holder will work alongside other Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians to support and deliver effective medicines optimisation within primary care and community hospitals, working predominantly within Conwy (County), BCUHB Central area.
This role involves working with community resource teams, community Nursing teams and GPs, supporting enhanced care, evidence-based approach to medicines use, managing prescribing queries and undertaking complex medication reviews. The post is open to Pharmacists working in all sectors of the profession, and could include the opportunity to work across different pharmacy sectors.
Main duties of the job
We wish to appoint a self-motivated Pharmacist with strong clinical pharmacy skills, to ensure the highest standards of care for patients within Central BCUHB.
The successful candidate will be a registered prescribing Pharmacist who demonstrates an excellent knowledge and understanding of medicines optimisation, safety, legislation, and best practice in primary care setting, as well as being able to manage interface issues with acute and community organisations. They will have outstanding interpersonal skills and demonstrate the ability to communicate with a range of colleagues and health care professionals. The role will provide a brilliant opportunity for the right candidate to develop their knowledge and skills.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- MPharm degree or equivalent
- Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- Post Graduate MSc/Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent experience and/or qualifications
Desirable criteria
- Training qualification Leadership and/or management qualification
- Accredited or eligible to be accredited as a Higher Education Institute Clinical Pharmacy diploma/MSc tutor
- Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society & registration with the Faculty
- Non-medical prescribing qualification (or working towards)
Experience

- Must be able to demonstrate suitable level of experience working in the managed sector and/or community pharmacy
