Job overview
An opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced Operational Manager to join our team to undertake the role of Operations Manager for Children’s Services based in West.
Extensive experience of managing complex operational delivery against National targets is essential. Significant budget management skills as well as excellent people and staff management are also critical, including the ability to build strong multi-disciplinary clinically led teams to drive improvements in patient care pathways.
The post holder will also be responsible for undertaking analysis and collation of service delivery within the Service including capacity and demand, business case planning, workforce planning and BCUHB delivery reports.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

- Degree and/or management or professional qualification at diploma level or equivalent demonstrated knowledge
- Professional development to Master’s level through a combination of courses, in service training and experience
- Evidence of ongoing professional development through a combination of courses, in service training and experience

- Management or professional qualification at post graduate level

Essential criteria
- Significant relevant management experience working with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Evidence of ability to implement and manage change in a multi-agency environment
- Ability to provide examples of real progress against key objectives in the development and delivery of services within the NHS
- Experience of financial and HR management in a complex organisation
- Experience of process redesign and services improvement Experience in managing human resource issues and conflict resolutionand techniques
- Experience in preparing, producing and negotiating complex business and service development plans.
