Our Tees Crisis Triage and Assessment hub are looking for passionate, skilled qualified clinician to join us. 

The team provides crisis services to adults within the Teesside area, providing a 24 hour crisis line, telephone triage, initial assessments, and a place of safety for those detained on section 136 by police.

Main duties of the job

The team operates over 24 hours, 7 day a week, 11.15 hour shifts.

This is a band 5 post open to registered nurses, occupational therapists and social workers with current relevant registration with the NMC, HCPC or SWE. 

You will be a member of a multi-disciplinary team and there is ample opportunity to develop and enhance your existing clinical skills. You will receive regular supervision and there are good training opportunities.

As a member of the team you will provide a service to those individuals who present with a mental health crisis . Applicants should be highly motivated, have the ability to act on own initiative and have sound assessment and written skills.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • RNMH, current professional registration with NMC or Social Worker, current professional registration with HCPC
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • MIP, FLIP, ENB 998 Teaching & Assessing in Clinical Practice or City & Guilds 730 Teaching in Adult Education or willingness to work towards. Qualification must be achieved within agreed timescale.
  • Key skills in literacy, numeracy and ITQ level 2 (or equivalent)
Desirable criteria
  • Post-graduate qualification in a relvant area

  • Communicate complex and sensitive information effectively to patients, carers/families and all members of the multidisciplinary team
  • Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
