Job overview

We are seeking an experienced project lead to work on the Trusts EPR implementation and optimisation. 

The postholder will manage specific digital work streams, helping to develop the project/work stream plans, scoping and requirements and ensuring that the outputs specified in the scoping are delivered on time and to specification.

You must have the Right to Work in the UK in order to be successfully appointed to this role. Please note, this role does not meet the required eligibility criteria for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa and therefore the Trust is unable to offer sponsorship for this particular role.

Main duties of the job

To ensure the Trust’s project management framework is fully utilised and that the planning, monitoring and governance of the EPR project are carried out in line with relevant Trust policies and procedures, raising any concerns to the programme manager in a timely manner.

To establish and sustain effective arrangements to plan, manage and monitor the outputs of any work streams that underpin the project, ensuring that they deliver the required outputs to the agreed specification and deadlines.

To support the EPR Programme director, EPR Programme managers and other clinical and corporate staff.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Educated to postgraduate diploma level in a relevant subject or equivalent experiential learning
  • Evidence of training in programme or project management principles and techniques (or willingness to achieve within agreed timescale)
  • The Trust’s QIS (Quality Improvement System) for Leaders Certificate (or willing to achieve within agreed timescale)
Desirable criteria
  • Project Management qualification
  • Quality improvement qualification, or evidence of training in quality improvement principles and techniques

Skills/Experience/Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Experience in supporting change initiatives
  • Developing and monitoring project plans
  • Proven experience in engaging successfully with a range of stakeholders
  • Has an awareness of nationally recognised project management systems
  • Ability to understand operational issues quickly and gain credibility with the people who will have to implement or use the products being produced by the project
  • Able to develop options and clearly communicate the impact of different options on the timescales, costs and benefits realisation trajectories to line manager / project board / programme board level
Desirable criteria
  • Workshop design and facilitation skills
  • Understanding of mental health and/or learning disability issues and services
  • Experience of using a quality improvement system
  • Experience of leading a change initiative which had to be re-planned after it had started
