With the launch of a new integrated Informatics support service the Informatics service is looking for a full time ICT Delivery & Development Lead to join a dynamic team. Working within BCU you will be responsible for the management, maintenance, testing and training and user support of software solutions and providing telephone support to all Informatics users

Main duties of the job

Assist, from a support perspective, with the requirements for new IT solutions and the enhancement of existing systems, providing support, advice and guidance as appropriate.

Manage the software contracts by liaising with suppliers to ensure best value for money, Ensuring BCU are getting the most from the software, ensuring software meets all BCU compliance requirements, manage upgrade by liaising with the services, informatics teams and the supplier

Communicate complex information through various communication methods to all levels of staff where there are barriers to understanding in order to achieve positive outcomes.

Work closely with Programme / Informatics staff and all other stakeholders to ensure the delivery and maintenance of systems within the portfolio

Manage staff within area of responsibility, providing line management for delegated staff within the programme, this will include appraisals, sickness management, recruitment, selection etc.

Analyses,  investigates and advises CPGs on possible upgrades for changing requirements within their portfolio of responsibilities

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
