Main duties of the job
The service has been created as part of the expansion of permanent Adferiad funding from Welsh Government. This can include a range of conditions such as complex breathlessness, Long Covid, other post-viral conditions and persistent physical symptoms such as functional neurological disorder.
The post holders will undertake clinical work within the BCUHB Community Complex Conditions Service, working directly and indirectly with patients, families and staff members. The Clinical Psychologist will also support senior psychology colleagues to provide training, supervision, consultancy and advice to multidisciplinary colleagues on psychological aspects of clinical management and contribute to service evaluation and planning. They will also support supervision and training of assistant psychologists and trainee clinical psychologists.
We are passionate about co-development of our service and enriching it with research. The post holders will have opportunities to help us to continue developing these two important areas through work with our lived-experience consultation group and by supporting our research programme.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
