Main duties of the job
Provide an advanced level clinical pharmacy service to the Oncology and Haematology departments as part of a diverse and high-performing pharmacy oncology/haematology team.
Support the Aseptic Supply Unit with clinical screening and checking of systemic anti-cancer therapies whilst being an active member of the Oncology Pharmacy team.
Help transform the service, develop leadership and management skills whilst being an active member of the oncology pharmacy team to help meet the overall strategic objectives in the provision of pharmaceutical care for cancer patients.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Registered pharmacist with GPhC
- Evidence of Continuous Professional Development
- Post-graduate clinical diploma
Desirable criteria
- GCP certificate
- Registered with the GPhC as an Independent Prescriber
- Leadership / management qualification or training
Experience
Essential criteria
- Evidence of relevant hospital pharmacy experience
- Evidence of relevant oncology/haematology clinical pharmacy experience
- Experience of NHS commissioning arrangements
Desirable criteria
- DUR and audit experience
- Demonstrate team work (inter/intra-departmental)
- Experience of small group coaching
- Experience of working in hospital aseptic services
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- An up to date knowledge of pharmacology and therapeutics in oncology/haematology
- Clarity in English
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Good interpersonal skills
