The role of a clinical psychologist within Audiology is one which is not widely known. There is already a strong emphasis on patient-centred and holistic care throughout the Audiological pathways, however the input of a clinical psychologist is important in driving this foreword. This is, therefore, quite a unique opportunity to work within a team where the ethos aligns to provide a supportive and collaborative environment.
The department at RBFT is one which tries to enable the best possible clinical practice with regular learning and development encouraged throughout the team. We participate in internal and external research, teaching and training as well as peer review, supervision and policy/protocol development when-ever possible.
This role is involved in all areas of Audiology patients whether they are from Paediatrics, Adults Rehabilitation, Hearing Therapy or Balance. The role has evolved over the years so please contact us if you are interested and wish to learn more about the department or role itself.
