Band 5 - Staff Nurse (Outpatients - General Outpatients 1&2) - Part time 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Bad 5 Staff Nurse to join the Royal Berkshire Hospital.

The post holder works and effective team member:

Undertaking and recording a comprehensive nursing assessment and planning, delivering and evaluating high standards of evidenced based nursing care to a diverse group of patients.

Deliver care without direct supervision. Accountable for the care delivered and any omissions of care.

Teach and supervise more junior staff, students and the non-registered nursing workforce.

Accountable for care or any omissions of care that he/she delegates to others.

Act as role model, delivering care with empathy and compassion as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Develops competences and practices relevant clinical skills required to deliver care to the patient/client group.

Main duties of the job

  • Working as part of the multidisciplinary team focusing on the department team
  • Responsible for the efficient running of various outpatient clinics
  • Undertake nursing duties including: scrub nursing, leg dressings and IM injections
  • Recognises, responds to and appropriately manages emergency situations.
  • Work autonomously in a nurse led unit.  
  • Maintaining accurate patient records on EPR.
  • To assist with ordering and maintaining the clinical area.
