This position is for someone who is looking for flexible work , working hours Monday to Friday .
The role is a bank position supporting the nursery during core opening hours.
Level 2 qualification in Childcare and Education (or equivalent) is an essential requirement.
Must also hold a Paediatric First Aid recognised by Ofsted.
This position is a Bank (zero hours) contract.
Main duties of the job
The objective of the Nursery Nurse is to assist in the development and running of the Day Nursery, to provide outstanding day care for the children in a safe, clean and stimulating environment.
The aim is to provide the best possible day care children at the nursery, which meets their physical, intellectual, emotional and social needs in a non-discriminatory manner.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
- To provide the best possible care and stimulation for the children of the nursery in a safe and happy environment
- To liaise with parents and encourage their involvement in the aims of the nursery and in all aspects of their children’s care
- To work effectively as part of a team on a daily basis. Providing a happy, effective working environment.
- To assist in the daily domestic management of the nursery: including ensuring that the nursery is kept safe, secure and clean at all times
Person specification
Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Level 2 qualification in Childcare and Education (or equivalent)
- Paediatric First Aid certificate
Desirable criteria
- Level 3 qualification in Childcare and Education (or equivalent)
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of working in an early years setting or with children aged 0–5 years
Skills
Essential criteria
- Sound knowledge of early years childcare practices, including safeguarding, health and safety, and child development
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, contributing to a positive and supportive working environment
- Understanding of the diverse needs of children and families, and the ability to respond with sensitivity and respect
