Experienced Phlebotomist - - Fixed term: 9 months- 37.5 h/w

The phlebotomy department at Royal Berkshire Hospital is looking for  band 3 experienced phlebotomists to support with the provision of quality blood collection services . We are an extensive department that services both wards and outpatient clinics. We are looking for one who is  enthusiastic and have previous experience in a similar role to join our team on a  full  time basis, 37.5 hours a week .

5 days a week- Monday to friday 

 

Main duties of the job

Post holder will be required to collect samples from inpatients. Post holder is required to liaise with clinicians, other healthcare professionals including laboratory staff, with patients and their representatives and with commercial suppliers. Post holder will be required to perform a range of venepuncture techniques in a variety of clinical settings and will work without direct supervision.
