Band 3 Rotational Senior Pharmacy Assistant
The Inpatient Pharmacy at the Royal Berkshire Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Pharmacy Assistant/Dispenser to join our pharmacy team.
Candidates must possess or be working towards NVQ Level 2 qualification, or show willingness to complete training.
We are looking for hard working and highly motivated individuals to join our welcoming and innovative team.
Here in Pharmacy we strive to deliver an efficient, safe and resourceful service to our patients.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills in many aspects of the Pharmacy service, from dispensing specialised medicines, liaising with a range of different healthcare professionals and assisting in the supply of Monitored Dosage Systems (MDS).
Main duties of the job
Undertake duties on a rotational basis across Pharmacy Stores and the multidisciplinary Dispensary teams.
Performing a range of tasks to assist and support the provision of a variety of Pharmacy services.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- GCSEs at grade A* - C (4-9) (or equivalent) in Maths, English Language and 2 Science subjects (A)
- NVQ and BTEC Level 2 in Pharmacy Services OR willing to work towards qualification (A)
Experience
Essential criteria
- Pharmacy Experience - hospital or community
- Good communication - written and oral
Desirable criteria
- JAC experience
- Stock Control Experience
- Experience dispensing MDS
