The post holder will provide a comprehensive administrative support to the departments within the Rehabilitation Services.
To work as part of a team and to carry out administrative duties on a day to day basis. This may include covering essential and appropriate operational duties in the absence of colleagues.
Main duties of the job
On a daily or weekly basis prepare referrals information in readiness for referrals meetings. This will include collation of clinical records, referrals, completion of agreed forms etc.
· On a daily basis deal with telephone enquires/queries received into the service ensuring any messages are communicated timely and accurately.
· Provide administrative support to the patient pathway process, ensuring information is recorded timely and accurately on to identified information systems. Ensuring any delays to the patient are escalated to the appropriate staff. This will include:
Ø Registering new patients and recording referrals.
Ø Inputting documented clinical outcome measures.
Ø Recording documented patient conditions/diagnosis.
Ø Recording activity and appointment outcomes including: discharges, Did Not Attends (DNAs), patient arrival/departure times etc.
Ø Printing and distributing appointment lists, transport lists etc.
Ø Updating patient demographics. This includes patients address, GP, contact details etc.
Ø Raising and completing equipment orders.

- GCSE level 4 or equivalent in Maths and English
Experience

- Experience of using word processing packages
- Experience in a similar administrative role
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working within the NHS
Skills/knowledge

- Knowledge of patient information systems and databases
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft office applications
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of RIO
