The post holder will provide a comprehensive administrative and business support to the departments within the Rehabilitation Services.

To work as part of a team and to carry out administrative duties on a day to day basis.  This may include covering essential and appropriate operational duties in the absence of colleagues.

Main duties of the job

Ensure all equipment or technology processes are completed timely, accurately and identified information systems are updated to agreed standards.

To support clinicians within the service with identified administration tasks.

Produce a range of correspondence, reports, presentations or spread sheets, ensuring all documents are accurate and produced to a high standard.

Co-ordinate and book patient appointments.

Ensure clinics or available appointment slots are fully utilised as far as possible within the remit of the role.

On a daily basis, make and receive telephone calls to/from patients, staff and people from outside organisations ensuring any actions are dealt with appropriately.

Education

Essential criteria
  • Evidence of a good standard of Education
  • Continued learning and development
Desirable criteria
  • Maths GCSE or equivalent
  • English GCSE or equivalent

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Previous office experience in a similar role
  • Relevant experience of communicating with patients / customers
  • Experience of working within a team with different skill sets
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working for the NHS
  • Previous experience of meeting preparation and minute taking

IT systems

Essential criteria
  • Experience of working with data systems
  • Previously working with Microsoft packages
  • Managing a team inbox
Desirable criteria
  • RIO experience
