Main duties of the job

Have you always wanted to work in the NHS caring for people who are unwell? Do you want to work in a caring and forward thinking NHS Trust who will support you to achieve your ambition to be a health care assistant?Are you passionate about wanting the absolute best care for patients and  are you prepared to engage in a 12 week local  training programme to develop vital skills to become a Health Care Assistant ?

Following successful completion of the competencies within the trainee contract and a final review meeting will be held to review your 12 week traineeship, if considered successful, the Trust will offer you a permanent Band 2 Healthcare Assistant post.

The Trainee Health Care Assistant post is offered as a fixed term 3 month contract in which you will receive education and hands on experience in the role of the Health Care Assistant.
