Job overview
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinician with extensive experience in the practice of Infection Prevention and Control to be Lead the Infection Prevention and Control Team in BCHC.
Interested applicants must be able to demonstrate significant understanding of IPC, Quality and Safety, Compassionate and Inspirational Leadership as well as Team Management.
Main duties of the job
To lead and manage the Infection Prevention and Control Team who have a supportive, educational and advisory role for all staff and patients within the Trust.
To lead on the delivery of a staff vaccination programme for influenza and Covid 19.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- 1st level Registered Nurse
- Qualification in Infection Control or equivalent
- Educated to Masters level qualification or equivalent
Experience
Essential criteria
- Significant experience working as a qualified nurse in the field of infection prevention and control
- Experience in providing expert clinical advice and support to staff and patients on infection prevention and control issues
- Experience in contributing to developing an infection prevention and control nursing service
Applicant requirements
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
