Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint a highly motivated individual to work within our busy Safeguarding Children team, providing administration support to the Birmingham and Solihull Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Safeguarding MASH team.
We have recently merged with Solihull and are keen to expand our team. We also offer hybrid working.
The successful applicant will have substantial office experience and an excellent working knowledge of Windows-based computer packages, in particular Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Also holding an NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration (or equivalent) with the ability to demonstrate a high level of accuracy, prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
The successful applicant will also have excellent interpersonal skills and an awareness of the confidentiality and information governance issues associated with working in a safeguarding environment.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide confidential and comprehensive administrative support to the
Safeguarding Children Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) ensuring that the needs of the
service are met.
The post holder will be required to maintain good working relationships with a wide range of
individuals, including those from external multi-agency organisations such as the police and
social services.
Please note
- Applicants are required to travel to all our MASH bases in the West Midlands.
- The core working hours are 9-5.

- Good general education including GCE’s in Maths and English or a relevant equivalent qualification
- NVQ 3 in Business Administration or equivalent

Applicant requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
