*We have one position available on a part time basis of 20 hours/week

We are looking to recruit an experienced and self-motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant to work as part of the Dementia & Frailty Occupational Therapy team, this post will be based at Rosemary Inpatient Unit.

Rosemary  is  an assessment ward, caring for female older adult patients who have a diagnosis of  a functional mental health illness or dementia . You would be working with patients on a group and one to one basis and will require practical and creative skills in order to promote independence and to improve overall emotional wellbeing.

Main duties of the job

You will be supported by the ward Occupational Therapist and will receive regular management supervision and clinical supervision. Training and development will be provided in line with discussed development reviews.

We would require someone to have NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification and a good understanding of the role of Occupational Therapy / provision of activities within a mental health setting.

Overall we are looking for a motivated and confident member of staff who wants to work within a recovery and person centred model

Currently hours of work are going to cover on a Monday - Friday basis.
