We are seeking an enthusiastic and well-motivated Band 5 HCPC Radiographer to join our dedicated team of dynamic and welcoming staff to help deliver our radiology services to the women, children, and families of the West Midlands and beyond. BWCH has one of the busiest specialist Radiology teams in the country, providing imaging services for approximately 110,000 patients per year.

This role offers the candidate the opportunity to rotate through both Radiology departments at both sites at Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Hospitals. Rotating through Plain Film, Fluoroscopy, Theatres and Dental Imaging.

The successful candidate will promote and deliver a family focused and user-friendly diagnostic radiology service to children, young people, and their families.

We are currently refocusing and establishing a vision of staff development and enhanced practice to develop the General Imaging Department. The department supports Flexible Working.

As Rotational Radiographer at Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Hospital, you will have the opportunity to work as part of a multidisciplinary team that undertakes all diagnostic radiographic procedures providing an efficient service, ensuing a high radiographic standard is delivered whilst adhering to departmental protocols, procedures, and evidence-based guidelines.

To perform imaging examinations at a consistently high technical and professional standard of work, and to evaluate the clinical quality of images produced.

Assess, prioritise and organise own workload within assigned area of work.

To participate in clinical audit / CPD

Following an in depth supported preceptorship period this post will require participation in on-call/shift provision as rostered including weekends and bank holidays.
