Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit a full time Senior Management Accountant.
Reporting to the Commercial Finance manager this role will provide key financial management support to the newly created Genomic Medicine Division. The role will ensure that accurate, timely and relevant information is provided to managers to successfully manage their budgets.
We are seeking a forward thinking, highly motivated and focused Senior Management Accountant who is capable of contributing to and influencing the financial future of the Trust.
Interviews planned to be w/c 17th August.
Main duties of the job
This post is based at the main hospital site in the city centre of Birmingham; however the post holder may on occasion be required to attend meetings at Birmingham Women's Hospital as necessary.
Currently the finance team is has a hybrid working model, with fixed working days both onsite and at home. The post holder will be provided with a Trust laptop.

- Two years management accounting experience in the NHS
- Experience of working within other NHS finance sections
- Experience of providing budgetary support to non-finance staff.
- Capable of setting objectives, prioritising work and meeting strict deadlines.
- Evidence of supporting significant cost or income improvement programmes.
Desirable criteria
- Experience of staff management
