Main duties of the job
- Support on operational and strategic Pharmacy Technician and ATO workforce development, transformational initiatives for improved service delivery and the health and wellbeing of staff.
- Senior manager responsible for safe and effective pharmacy stock procurement/management/ dispensing operational systems.
- Development and delivery of KPIs relevant to areas of responsibility such as drug spend data, workload data, productivity metrics etc.
- Support responsibilities for safe and effective delivery of Digital, Homecare and Business team operations.
- Deputise for the Chief Pharmacy Technician where required
- Act as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, providing departmental support and shaping the future development of Pharmacy

Essential criteria
- NVQ Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Services and BTEC (or equivalent)
- Registered with the GPhC as a Pharmacy Technician
- Accuracy Checking Technician Award
- At Least 3 years post qualification relevant experience
Knowledge and nature of experience

- Knowledge and experience of working in pharmacy operations
- Experience of leading a team
- Experience of line management
- Experience of working in a hospital pharmacy
- Experience in procedure, policy and guideline writing
- Ability to review resources to ensure pharmacy provision of safe services
- Ability to identify and manage risks
- Experience of providing training and supervision of staff
- Experience of reviewing finances and generating reports

- Experience or knowledge of hospital electronic prescribing systems
