Job overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate GP to join our dynamic practice. You will have the opportunity to work across sites in both a modern, state-of-the-art health centre (High Oak Surgery) and a more traditional setting (Chapel Street Surgery) as part of an NHS Trust. This diverse role offers the chance to provide high-quality primary care to a wide range of patients with the opportunity to gain invaluable experience to promote career development.

 

We are looking to appoint 2 GPs to come and work with us, the sessions will be fixed as per the below:

 

  • 1 GP: Monday PM and Friday AM and PM ( 3 Sessions)
  • 1 GP:  Friday AM and PM (2 Sessions)

Main duties of the job

  • Conducting patient consultations (face-to-face, telephone)
  • Diagnosing and treating a range of medical conditions
  • Prescribing medications
  • Providing health education and advice for patients
  • Managing chronic diseases
  • Participating in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Adhering to clinical guidelines and best practice
  • Participating in Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of practice policies
  • Supporting the training and development of other healthcare professionals

Registration

Essential criteria
  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
  • Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP)

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience as a GP in the NHS
Desirable criteria
  • Experience in specific areas of interest (e.g., women's health, child health)
  • Teaching or mentoring experience

Qualifications

Desirable criteria
  • Completion of relevant postgraduate qualifications (e.g., Diploma in Family Planning, Minor Surgery).
