Main duties of the job
To provide clinical and operational leadership in all areas of Technical Cardiology including Echocardiography, Invasive and Ambulatory, supporting day-to-day support to departmental leads in providing comprehensive, efficient, innovative and cost-effective services to patients. The post-holder will have oversite of the performance of diagnostic areas using national and local standards and supporting the development of mitigation plans to address any under performance or innovations to provide improvements. The post holder, along with departmental leads, will be responsible for setting the culture as well as standards for the team to work to, demonstrating this through their own behaviour and providing excellent, compassionate, quality and consistent leadership in line with the organisation’s values.
The post holder will play a crucial role in HR processes such as and be able to initiate sound judgement in handling a variety of management issues in line with Trust policy. In addition, the position will require project management while leading a multidisciplinary team including financial analysis, problem solving and collaboration with Trust and system colleagues as well as external organisations.
