Walsall Manor Hospital houses the full range of district general hospital services. The £170 million development was completed in 2010 and we are continually upgrading. Construction of the new integrated critical care unit was completed in 2018, extension of a Neonatal Unit and an approved plan to build a brand new, state of the art Emergency Department which commenced in 2021

Care Group Administrative Assistant -Permanent Post
The post holder is to support the Care Group Support Officer (CGSO) in the operational management and delivery of Divisional priorities. They will be required to facilitate the continuous provision of a high quality administrative support to the Care Group Management team. They will support the CGSO in ensuring that patients are proactively managed and monitored in order to support the delivery of the Trust 18 week RTT target. Ensuring that on- going compliance with national and local waiting time's targets at all times are met. The post holder will support the CGSO in effective liaison with patients and clinicians in order to ensure that all Trust targets are met.
The post holder will be well organised, have attention to detail and proactively identify, escalate and resolve any patient pathway issues relating to 18 week delivery. Excellent communication skills are required as well as experience of working within the Trust IT systems eg. Careflow and Fusion. Flexibility and a responsive attitude are also required in order to react to changing demands of the division.

Care Group Administrative Assistant
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Division of Medicine for a Care Group Administrative Assistant working 37.5 hours per week.
The post holder will be accountable for providing an efficient administrative service to a number of medical specialties, under Long Term Conditions, as well as supporting the wider Division.
The successful candidate will need to be enthusiastic and positive team player. The candidate should have experience of working in an administrative setting, preferably within healthcare.
The post holder will act as a point of contact for all members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team, as well as external stakeholders and must be able to organise their own workload within defined guidelines.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Educated to CSE / GCSE level, including GCSE English & Maths
- Able to demonstrate a good command of English language, verbal and written
- Good computer literacy.
Experience
Essential criteria
- Knowledge of 18 week RTT targets and waiting times.
- Microsoft Office applications with experience of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Good understanding of NHS / admin systems and processes and patient treatment pathways
Skills
Essential criteria
- Good organisational skills and able to prioritise workload
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability and confidence to liaise credibly with individuals of all disciplines and grades
- Ability to work on own initiative, make effective decisions and problem solve
