Locum Consultant in Sexual Health and Contraception

NHS Medical & Dental: Consultant

Walsall Manor Hospital is a busy district general hospital offering compete range of acute services. The Trust primarily serves the immediate population of Walsall with some patients requiring more specialised treatment at other, neighbouring Trusts. Interviews to take place on 30th July 2026.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will participate in a 1 in 3 on call Consultant rota during weekdays and weekends along with a Consultant in HIV and sexual health at Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust (Sandwell General Hospital). Provide a high-quality HIV and integrated contraception and sexual health service to outpatients attending WISH Walsall Sexual Health Service which is delivered by the Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust. Clinics will be a combination of complex and non-complex sexual health, contraception advice and opportunity to have procedure clinics fitting LARCs depending on competency level.
