Band 7

The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust are delighted that we have been rated as a “Good” organisation by CQC and just like you, we are ambitious about what we do. We are continually striving to improve patients’ experience and outcomes.

Bring your dedication and determination here, and you will benefit from the support of an experienced and enthusiastic multi-professional team committed to the delivery of brilliant patient care.

Will you join us on this journey? Here’s more about the role and what we are looking for.

The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust is one of the largest NHS Trusts in the West Midlands providing primary, acute and community services. We have been nationally recognised for providing excellence in healthcare; we are home to the busiest and most technologically advanced Cardiac Centre in the West Midlands. We have a strong research focus; the Trust hosts the Clinical Research Network West Midlands (CRN WM), which is part of the National Institute for Health Research, the clinical research delivery arm of the NHS. This alliance makes sure that clinical research occupies the place it deserves and is a driver to improve patient care.

An Exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of  Specialist Hand Therapist-Team Lead at The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust.

The Hand Therapy Team consists of a team of hand therapists and therapy assistants working across the hospital sites.  We are looking to recruit a suitably experienced, enthusiastic Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to join us.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with highly experienced consultants and hand therapy staff within a friendly environment.  We endeavour to provide an environment to learn and develop your knowledge and skills. Access to a range of education opportunities is available internally in the form of in-service training as well as external courses. You would have the opportunity to contribute to the in-service training program.

The post holder will work in outpatient clinics, providing  a high level of specialist care for patients referred from areas including non-surgical and post-surgical Trauma & Elective Orthopaedics.
You will be required to supervise and act as a role model for more junior members of the team and students. This post will provide a fantastic opportunity to learn, advance and utilize your management and service development skills to help facilitate the evolution of the Hand Therapy service across the Royal Wolverhampton Trust

If you are an experienced, enthusiastic and passionate Hand Therapist looking for an opportunity to provide clinical leadership across a team of occupational therapists and therapy assistants, we look forward to hearing from you.
