Job overview
To have a full understanding of RTT pathway
To have a full understanding of Referrals received into the Trust and their journey throughout the department
To work in collaboration with the team and work in line with the Trust values
Knowledge of cashing up clinics following attendance or DNA
Participate in appraisals to agree/revise Personal Development Plans.
Attend and participate in regular staff meetings.
To participate in team, professional and personal development activities and promote commitment to continuous development and improvement.
To ensure effective contribution to the delivery of the organisation’s objective
Any other duties commensurate with post as requested.
Main duties of the job
To have a full understanding of RTT pathway
To have a full understanding of Referrals received into the Trust and their journey throughout the department
Knowledge of caching up clinics following attendance or DNA
To obtain investigation results and exercise judgement to ensure that medical attention is urgently drawn to abnormal results.
The following up of pending results and appropriate action when received
Setting up of future clinics
The use of Clinic Booking Forms to create new clinics, or amend clinics
To be able to manage electronic diaries
Excellent telephone manner, for both patient contact and the chasing of outstanding investigations
To ensure all information and messages received from patients, colleagues, clinical and managerial staff are communicated efficiently and correctly. This can be of a sensitive or complex nature.

Essential criteria
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent Experience
- 4 GCSE passes or equivalent, one to be English
- Understanding of Clinic Management and ERS
Desirable criteria
- Previous NHS experience

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
