Job overview
This role is as Lead Nurse/Senior ANP for the Palliative Care Team.
This is a growing service which is pivotal in supporting the patients and their families within our care across the organization, with guidance and support at this delicate time in their lives.
You will lead the team and work closely with the Clinical Lead and Senior Management Team with the Oncology/Haematology and Palliative Care Group.
You will be a registered nurse working at advanced level practice and be a non medical prescriber who has a proven track record working clinically with this client group.
Main duties of the job
You will be accountable for , ensuring safe and effective clinical practice, enhancing the patient’s experience and ensuring effective contribution to the delivery of the organization's objectives.
You will practice within an ethical framework based upon dignity and respect for the well-being and safety of patients and clients

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
You will demonstrate expert and extensive knowledge in areas such as diagnostics, therapeutics, the biological, social and epidemiological sciences, and enhanced skills in areas such as consultation and clinical decision-making in a variety of settings.
You will mange and develop the performance of the team and manage a devolved budget ensuring efficient and effective use of resource.

Education
Essential criteria
- NMC Registration
- Full Degree in health care
- Non medical Prescribing
- Health Assessment Module
Desirable criteria
- Full Masters Degree in Healthcare
Experience
Essential criteria
- Significant experince in palliative Care working autonomously
- Experience in a leadership role at a senior level
- Experience of service development/improvement within healthcare

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
