HELP TO LAUCH OUR BRAND NEW PHARMACY ASEPTIC UNIT
At the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust, we’re passionate about driving innovation and delivering exceptional care for our patients. Our Pharmacy Aseptic Team has just taken handover of a brand new state of the art aseptic unit and we’re looking for a quality assurance officer to join our friendly and dynamic team to support the commissioning of the new unit and the delivery of a high level of Quality Assurance within the aseptic services.
You will be part of an expanding team of highly professional and dedicated staff whose aim is to provide an excellent, patient focus service.
The prime function of the unit is the preparation of parental nutrition cytotoxic, monoclonal antibodies and clinical trials in a safe and efficient manner according to Good Manufacturing Practice and National Standards.
Our aim is to provide our valued staff with excellent training for Quality Assurance to become skilled, highly competent, and confident in their job roles. Main duties of the job
The post holder will:
The post holder is required to assist the Quality Assurance Team to monitor and comply with the Quality Management System (QMS) within Pharmacy Aseptic Services to standards required for GMP, SPS, and other regulations/ standards.
To carry out a range of quality assurance duties within the pharmacy. Monitor Aseptic facilities, assist with
Training.
Assist Pharmacy Aseptic Services to monitor achievement for directorate objectives, drivers, and targets by providing data to monitor overall project plans.
Assist and support members of the pharmacy quality assurance team and pharmacy aseptic production team
to provide a seamless quality of service.
To assist to undertake quality assurance audits as required to Aseptic Unit at Pharmacy Department Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust .
Work within standard operating procedures to provide a number of different roles such as verifying performance for examination procedures, generating and maintaining verification and measurement of uncertainty records.
Concentration and attention to detail required for auditing, data gathering and checking documents.
They will offer a helpful and professional service to all visitors and telephone callers.
Cross site working within the Pharmacy departments of RWT & Walsall Healthcare Trust as required.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential criteria
- GCSE Grade C/6 Mathematics and English, and Science subject
- NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy or equivalent
- Knowledge of the full range of administrative and organisational policies and procedures, acquired through training and relevant experience to A level or equivalent
Desirable criteria
- Aseptic Experience
- Basic knowledge in GMP
Knowledge and Skills
Essential criteria
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Higher level IT skills to include Microsoft office, spreadsheets, PowerPoint, word processing
- Experience of maintaining and reviewing databases
Desirable criteria
