Job overview

The post holder will work in the Radiopharmacy section of the Medical Physics and Clinical Engineering and will prepare Radiopharmaceutical's for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.

This is a very exciting time for the Radiopharmacy team as we are about to get hand over of a brand new state of the art Radiopharmacy aseptic facility.

The successful candidate main duties initially will be involved in performing the various quality control procedures required to enable the new facility to gain a Manufacturing Specials License granted by the MHRA.

Main Hours of Work are currently  06:30 to 14:30 Monday to Friday

Main duties of the job

Initially the main duties of the job will include 

  • Performing cleaning and process verification tests for the new Radiopharmacy along side the assistant technical officers.
  • Aseptically preparing, labelling and performing quality control on and supplying radiopharmaceuticals and radio-labelled bloods
  • Assisting with preparing and maintaining worksheets, SOPs, records and other documents

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

We are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician who would welcome the challenge to join our friendly team in the Radiopharmacy. 

This  an exciting opportunity to be involved in the commissioning a brand new Radiopharmacy and to develop your career. 

Previous experience of working in an aseptic  environment would be advantageous although full training and support relevant to your level of experience will be given to the successful applicant.
