A fantastic opportunity has arisen within the Neuro Oncology Team, within Neurosurgery for a Part Time, B3  Assistant Patient Pathway Coordinator, 20 hours per week. 

 

Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Neurosurgery Department  to join the Neuro Oncology admin team as an Assistant Patient Pathway Coordinator . This is a great opportunity for someone with administration  skills to take the next step with their development.

The Neuro Oncology Service deals with cancer/brain tumour patients, so we are looking for someone with empathy, and has the ability to deal with upset and anxious patients.

The role will be based at in the Brunel Building, Southmead Hospital.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The Neuro Oncology Patient Pathway Assistant role is to support the Patient Pathway Coordinator in working as part of a clinical team seeing patients through their oncology pathways from outpatient appointments, diagnostics, pre-operative assessment, through to surgery.
