 About the Role

You will deliver specialist psychological assessment, formulation and intervention for individuals diagnosed with FND. You will play an active role in shaping holistic treatment pathways for both outpatients and inpatients, contributing to high-quality, evidence-based care.

Beyond direct clinical work, you will collaborate with the Consultant Neuropsychologist and wider multidisciplinary team to support ongoing service development. This includes embedding outcome measures, using data to evidence impact, engaging service users in co-production, contributing to quality improvement initiatives and participating in research activity.

Supervision and professional development are central to the role. You will receive strong support within a large, welcoming department and will also contribute to the supervision and mentorship of more junior colleagues.

§  The post holder will be professionally accountable for his/her own work while obtaining supervision from a senior Practioner Psychologist.

§  The post holder is responsible for providing effective and timely communication at all levels (patients, families, multi-disciplinary team, referring agents and external agencies) as appropriate and according to clinical judgement, via the provision of individual sessions, the provision of formal reports and attendance at multi-professional clinical meetings.
