An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the existing Mandatory Training  Team in the role of a Bank Resuscitation Trainer.

The successful candidate will have experience of direct patient care, a passion for high quality moving and handling and a teaching/training qualification or willingness to work towards one.

You will be delivering basic life support training to staff, bringing your passion for teaching and your desire to make a meaningful impact in our community.

This will include training in the classroom as well as training and support within the workplace

  • Be involved in the delivery of basic life support training to the workforce at all levels which will include physically demonstrating various pieces of equipment and techniques. This will include demonstrating CPR at ground level.
  • To be responsible for delivering and evaluating an efficient and effective Mandatory and Statutory training programme to all staff.
  •  Working with administrative colleagues to contribute to the effective timetabling and running of the Mandatory and Statutory training at Sirona sites and a range of external community venues, attending in person wherever possible, ensuring staff are welcomed and the training sessions run smoothly

Please be aware: you will need to undertake at least one shift within a three-month rolling period to remain on the bank.

How Does it Work?

  • If shortlisted, you will be invited to a face-to-face interview
  • If offered the role, attend a face-to-face Sirona induction
  • During your first two weeks, you will complete an extended clinical induction to ensure you are equipped with the tools and knowledge needed before picking up shifts
  • You will then complete orientation shifts to meet the team and undertake clinical skills sign-off
  • Once orientation is completed, you will have access to an app where you can view upcoming shifts and book direct

  • Relevant experience of delivering training
  • Evidence of continuous professional development

  • Teaching qualification or training membership - expectation to complete relevant Training Qualification in post (CEAT Level 4)

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • Previous experience of delivering training and assessing in relevant subject in a Learning and Organisational Development, training/education, HR environment
  • Experience of collating and reviewing data from a variety of sources.
  • Highly effective organisational skills, excellent time management.
  • Experience of evaluation and feedback e.g. assessing the effectiveness of training and education in relation to learning outcomes.

  • Experience of the NHS or health/social care employment.
  • Understanding of delivering training provision and the reporting of KPIs
  • Experience of a range of learning programmes and career pathways to enhance career development and progression.
