Are you a HCPC Registered Dietitian with an interest in furthering your dietetic career across a range of clinical conditions, in a friendly and supportive team?
This post sits within UHBW’s Adult Nutrition and Dietetic Service based across two main hospital sites in Bristol and Weston. This rotational band 6 post is based in the beautiful coastal town of Weston-super-Mare.
This postholder will provide dietetic care predominantly within the speciality of gastroenterology. This post has the benefit of rotating with our Medicine and Critical Care post, providing an incredible opportunity for you to learn and develop your knowledge and skills across a range of areas and settings.
The Weston team are an experienced team of 17 members of Dietitians and support workers providing specialist input to pathways including front door services, care of the elderly, rehab, surgery, ITU, gastroenterology, oncology, diabetes, stroke, and food policy. We work across both inpatient and out-patient areas.
Our team provide unique benefits including, a supernumerary period, time together for a monthly canteen breakfast, one day per month of protected non clinical time, monthly supervision sessions and weekly team huddles, learning and development time with senior specialist dietitians / peers within your speciality areas, and funding for learning and development opportunities.

Main duties of the job
Rotation 1 - Medicine and Gastroenterology inpatients and a weekly gastroenterology out-patient clinic
Rotation 2 - Medicine and Critical Care inpatients
We participate in student training with all members of the team actively providing input to A, B and C placements for University of Plymouth students.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting patients, developing nutritional care within their specialist areas, and who can work effectively as part of the Nutrition and Dietetic Department and the wider multidisciplinary team.

- • Q3 Degree/Post Graduate qualification in nutrition or dietetics
- • Q4 Clinical Supervisory Skills (Basic)

- • Q5 BDA Membership
- • Q6 PEN Group Clinical Update Course and/or Behaviour Change Course

- • E1 Proven experience in: - Enteral Nutrition Support - Chronic Disease Management - Nutrition support in acute illness
