Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The Trust has gone through a major service reconfiguration. Included within these plans was the development, through the ‘Shaping Health Services’ project, of a Surgical Centre at Wycombe General Hospital. This is a dedicated surgical facility to provide planned day case and inpatient care for a pre-defined range of routine treatments.

To complement this facility, all surgical trauma and emergencies were centralised at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. This project served to provide surgical services in a manner that reduced delays for patients waiting for theatre, maximised available theatre time, and delivered elective and emergency care in a more systematic way.

The successful candidate(s) may be appointed to any of the subspecialty firms except for Vascular Surgery.  The candidate may express a preference at interview, but this may not be guaranteed.

For further information on this role please refer to the Job Description and  Person Specification  attached to this advert for main duties of the job detail.
