Job overview
Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust has a great opportunity for a Trust Registrar (IMT3 eqv) in Rheumatology to join the team initially for 6 months Fixed Term from February 2026 until August 2026. This post is based at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.
The post holder will be a member of the Rheumatology Team, mainly based at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. Some of the clinical duties and on-call may be based at Wycombe or Amersham Hospitals. They will attend Rheumatology outpatient clinics, assist the Rheumatologist of the Week (ROW), review rheumatology inpatients and support the multidisciplinary team.
The post holder will participate in an on-call rota at Stoke Mandeville when they will deal with an unselected take dealing in all medical emergencies.
There is regular teaching activity within the Rheumatology Department, in which the post holder is expected to participate. Within the hospital there is a weekly grand round. There are opportunities for the successful applicant to teach junior doctors and medical students on secondment from both the University of Oxford and the University of Buckingham medical schools.

Education, Qualifcation & Training
Essential criteria
- Full GMC registration with a Licence to Practice in the UK
- MRCP
- ALS Certificate in date
- ALS Certificate within 3 months of starting post

- 24 months general professional training experience at SHO level in general and acute medicine

- Two years paid NHS Experience as a Doctor in relevant speciality
